Conrader DBD2-1212 blowdown valve is used in rotary screw compressor applications. It is normally a closed valve that requires a pressure signal to open.

A. The drain hole is intended to prevent any condensate from accumulating in the valve body that might corrode internal parts and prevent the valve from opening. The drain hole is piped away to safely dispose of any discharge.
