EATON Danfoss CV1-16/CV11-16 Series Check Valves
Eaton Danfoss CV1-16/CV11-16 Series check valves prevent backflow or reverse flow of a liquid or gas in a piping system. They are preferred in water & sewage systems, HVAC systems, oil & gas pipelines, chemical processing plants and other similar applications.

Working Mechanism
- Check valves use a poppet mechanism that allows fluid or gas to flow in one direction and blocks it in the opposite direction.
- When fluid or gas flows in the desired direction, the poppet is pushed away from the seat, allowing the flow to pass through the valve unimpeded.
- But when the flow tries to reverse, the poppet is forced back against the seat, blocking the flow and preventing backflow.
Features
- Eaton check valves can handle flows up to 151 litres per minute and pressure up to 210 bar.
- They feature steel construction to withstand temperatures ranging from -40 to 120 degrees C.
- These direct-acting valves have Buna-N seals that minimise leaks.
- They can connect and regulate flows from two different pipes.
Frequently Asked Questions
What type of fluids can these valves tolerate?
These valves can handle all general-purpose liquids and gases.
How do I choose the right check valve for my application?
To choose the right check valve, consider factors like the type of fluid / gas to be used, the pressure & temperature of the system, the flow rate and the size of the valve.
How do I maintain a check valve?
Maintenance for check valves involves regular inspection, cleaning and replacement of worn or damaged parts.
How to install these valves?
- Turn off the system and relieve any pressure before installing the valve.
- Identify the correct port locations for the valve.
- Screw the valve into the designated port until it is hand-tight. Do not use tools to tighten the valve, as this could damage threads.
- Once the valve is installed, turn the system back on and check for leaks.
