CHERNE Underground Test Ball Plugs, Multi Size
Cherne multi-size underground test ball plugs are ideal for blocking the flow while permitting maintenance in storm sewer and sanitary systems. They are used as back plugs for sewer air testing and can be fitted to multiple pipe sizes.

Working Mechanism
- Position the plugs into the pipe at a distance at least equal to the pipe diameter.
- Attach one end of the inflation hose to the plug inflation fitting and brace / block the plug.
- Inflate pressure to the plug through the inflation hose and let it stabilise.
- Proceed with testing of pipe, application or other use of the plug.
- Release plug pressure from outside the danger zone until the plug is completely deflated and remove bracing / blocking system.

What is the shelf life for Cherne pneumatic plugs?
Cherne offers a 2-year warranty on all pneumatic plugs (from the date of manufacture) when kept under controlled conditions and at temperatures between 0 and 125 degrees Fahrenheit.
What will happen during over-inflation or under-inflation of plugs?
- Over-inflation: It may cause the plug to dislodge and rupture at extreme velocity.
- Under-inflation: It may cause the media and the plug restrained to dislodge from the pipe.
How often should the pressure of the plugs be monitored?
The inflation pressure should be checked and maintained a minimum of once per 4 hours while in use.
