Class J Fuses

UL-listed Class J fuses are designed for delivering a high interrupting rating and preventing nuisance blowing caused by motor and equipment startup. These current-limiting fuses eliminate the occurrence of electrical damage by disconnecting the circuits before they are exposed to the full magnitude and duration of overcurrent. Raptor Supplies offer a wide range of these products from brands like Bussmann and Ferraz Shawmut. Class J fuses by Ferraz Shawmutare made of fibreglass providing dimensional stability in harsh industrial environments. The 600VAC fuses are capable of interrupting a maximum of 200000 A current, thereby suitable for installations in capacitors, panelboards, bus ducts and circuit breakers. BussmannClass J fuses feature dual-element construction providing motor overload, ground fault and short-circuit protection. These time-delay fuses can be sized close to full load amps and hold until the temporary surges and overload occurrence subside without breaking the contacts. They are available in cylindrical and blade type body styles with indicating & non-indicating variants for identifying the status of a blown fuse.
