Watts LF150A water hammer arrestor is designed to control water pressure shocks or prevent water hammer occurrences in dishwashers, washing machines and quick-closing faucets.
Features:
- It has a pre-charged air chamber with a standard tire valve to allow recharging.
- It is integrated with a sealed-in diaphragm that flexes to absorb shocks and prevent wear.
- It can withstand shock pressures up to 200 psi and prevents banging noise & damage to pipes & appliances.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. What is meant by water hammer?
A. When high-speed water is forced to change direction or stopped abruptly, it causes a 'bounce-back', which is known as a water hammer. Water hammer arrestors are used in such cases to serve as cushions for shockwaves and avoid damage.
Q. What is the arrestor made of?
A. The arrestor has stainless steel construction and is coated with a special thermo-plastic layer to prevent rust & allow maximum shock absorption.
Q. How to install the unit in water pipelines?
A.
- Install as close as possible to the source of shock.
- The unit is factory pre-charged to 30 psi. If the system pressure is higher than 35 psi, add air until the valve is 5 psi below the system flow pressure.
- Avoid damaging the arrestor by using hex flats to tighten.
