A. First, ensure that the fitting is of the correct size and type for the application. Then, clean the pipe and fitting to remove any debris, dirt or other contamination. Next, apply flux to the pipe and fitting and then assemble them together. Finally, use a propane torch to heat the assembled fitting until the solder melts and the joint is properly sealed.
