Features
- These units feature remote sensors which are installed internally to the indoor unit while the pump is mounted remotely for easy maintenance and prevention of float malfunction.
- They feature a miniature design, requiring a smaller footprint for installations where space is limited.
- These pumps feature a 19 dBA diaphragm motor to allow an ultra-quiet operation and no vibrations and the compact construction provides ease of assembly.
- They feature high-level alarms with volt-free contacts that signal and operate a switch to open / close the pump when the tank indicates excessive water level.
- They are incorporated with thermal overload protection to prevent dangerous overheating that can cause motor failure.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the installation steps of Hartell HAR Series condensate pumps?
- Ensure that the pump is disconnected from the main power source before installation / working on the pump.
- Cut out a suitable size area in the ceiling to allow the ducting (conduit) to feed through.
- When installing the refrigeration pipes, make sure there is room for the condensate pump in the corner of the ducting.
- Insert the drain pipe (tube) from the condensate tray into the inlet of the reservoir. If the drain pipe is larger than the inlet, use the larger pipe (tube) adapter and secure it with a connection to prevent water leakage.
- Secure the connection between the discharge tube and pump outlet with a suitable pipe clamp or cable tie.
- Optional alarm connection disables the cooling equipment in the event of pump failure or when the pump is unable to remove the water due to obstruction in the discharge tube.
- Once the pump has been tested secure the ducting covers and ceiling plate.
What is the purpose of high-level alarms?
High-level alarms are installed in a condensate tank that signals excessive build-up of condensate while protecting against leaks and overflows that may cause severe damage.
How to make the right pump selection?
- Take into account the temperature of the condensate, the amount of condensate being produced at a given time and the maximum pumping head.
- Ensure that the pump is able to discharge the maximum amount of condensate being produced at the maximum discharge head while minimising the continuous pumping action.
