EATON C Series Molded Case Circuit Breaker Frames, L Frame
Eaton C Series frames are designed to house moulded case circuit breakers (MCCBs) to provide a safe framework for the breaker to be mounted in a control panel or switchboard. These L-frame circuit breakers with non-interchangeable trip units are suitable for reverse feed application. They are c...onstructed from high-quality materials and ensure the safe operation of electrical systems while protecting against current overloads and short circuits. Read more

Working Mechanism
- Eaton C Series moulded case circuit breaker frames are equipped with fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip mechanisms.
- The thermal trip consists of a bimetallic strip which gets heated and bends when an overcurrent passes through the conductors.
- This causes the contacts to open and interrupt the current flow.
- The magnetic trip has an electromagnetic component that detects the presence of short circuits in a circuit. As the current rises abruptly, a magnetic field is generated that causes the displacement of the plunger in the tripping coil, thus opening the contacts again.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I reset my circuit breaker after it trips?
- Turn off power to the breaker before resetting the MCCB to prevent the risk of electrical shock or injury.
- Press the reset button (located on the front of the beaker, near the handle) firmly. The beaker should click, indicating that it has reset.
- Turn the power back on.
How to install an L-frame circuit breaker?
- Inspect that the circuit breaker has all components and check for damage before mounting.
- Install the trip unit and rating plug, as well as accessories and terminals.
- Re-install cover and secure with pan-head screws provided.
- Torque the screws tightly.
- Mount the circuit breaker to the desired location.
- Connect the line & load conductors and torque terminals for a secure connection.
What is the difference between non-interchangeable and interchangeable circuit breakers?
The entire breaker must be changed when the trip unit in non-interchangeable breakers needs to be replaced. While, in interchangeable breakers, only the trip unit needs to be replaced.
