Pullers And Bearing Splitters

Pullers & bearing splitters are designed for replacing steering pumps and pulling power steering pulleys, bushings, alternators & bearings off axle shafts for automotive maintenance applications. Raptor Supplies offers a wide array of Dayton, OTC, Gearwrench, Ken-Tool, Proto & Westward pullers & bearing splitters. Selected models feature built-in clips for easily slipping into hub slots for quick release and tightening screws for securely gripping the workpiece, thereby eliminating slippage. Choose from a wide range of these pullers & bearing splitters, along with separator plates & rods, on Raptor Supplies.

Working Mechanism

  • Inspect the bearing to be removed to know its size or type. Select a suitable puller or bearing splitter.
  • Position & align the puller or bearing splitter over the bearing
  • When using a puller, turn the screw or handle on the puller using a wrench or other tool, applying force to the bearing and pulling it out of its housing.
  • When using a bearing splitter, strike the wedge on the splitter using a hammer or other tool, driving the splitter between the bearing & the housing to create a gap between them and allowing the bearing to be removed.
  • Inspect the bearing for any damage or wear. Replace the bearing if required with a new one and reassemble the mechanical assembly.
